We are seeking a data-driven professional with exceptional skills in Excel, Python, and data relationship management to support our solution offerings. This role focuses on transforming raw operational and customer data into meaningful insights that drive sales performance, marketing campaigns, and partner engagement.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of channel business dynamics, including distributors, vendors, and resellers, and knows how to connect data across various sources to deliver actionable intelligence.

This is a remote position, with a preference for candidates based in the Chicago area.

Who are you? You

• Have 5+ years of experience in data analysis or operations within the IT channel or technology distribution industry.
• Have expert-level command of Excel, and you can efficiently manage, model, and automate complex datasets.
• Have keen attention to detail and are proficient in working with a variety of technical tools to clean, transform, and analyze data.
• You understand how sales and marketing teams use data to build campaigns, track performance, and improve partner engagement.
• Understand CRM and ERP systems (ex SalesForce, Dynamics, or Similar)
• Are detail-oriented and thrive on finding connections in data that improve operational efficiency and channel visibility.
• Solve Problems. You enjoy taking complex problems and finding simple solutions.
• Are organized, resourceful, and proactive.

What You will be doing:

The Sr. Channel Data Analyst will collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to understand their business goals and objectives, scope projects, and create solutions that achieve desired outcomes.

The Sr. Channel Data Analyst will achieve this through:

• Cleaning, processing, and merging complex data sets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Building and maintaining data relationships that connect operational, customer, and financial information across systems.
• Developing automated workflows and reporting tools using Excel, Power Query, and Python to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Analyzing sales, marketing, and operational data to identify trends, growth opportunities, and inefficiencies.
• Developing meaningful reports and dashboards to support sales and channel strategy.
• Executing Data Alignment between clients through our custom matching tool utilizing Microsoft SQL.
• Providing outstanding customer experience through project management, capturing client goals, and delivering exceptional outputs.
• Creating custom applications and workflows in Quickbase .
• Our customer-facing applications are developed using Quickbase (a low code/no code database and application development platform)
• Application development includes outbound communications, actionable dashboards/reports, and methods of data capture. HTML Knowledge is a plus.

Skills Required:

• 5+ Years of experience in data analysis, channel operations, or business intelligence within the IT Channel ecosystem.
• Advanced Excel expertise (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Index, VBA/Macros, modeling).
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, data automation, or transformation scripts).
• A working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience with data visualization and BI (ex: Power BI, Tableau, Domo, CRM systems).
• Extremely organized and detail oriented.
