Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and self‑motivated Kitchen and Bath Designer to join our tight‑knit team. As a designer at Goodro, you will help create functional and beautiful interior spaces, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure successful project outcomes for our customers and company. You will apply your experience and training in interior design, project management, and communications to transform customers’ dreams into reality. Responsibilities Apply your skills and expertise in kitchen/bath design to create functional and beautiful kitchens, bathrooms, and interior spaces, balancing customer preferences, space utilization, budget, and design trends. Communicate professionally and courteously with prospective and current clients, delivering an empathetic and competent style from first contact through final implementation. Listen to clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and budget for their kitchen/bath projects. Educate clients and provide detailed information about kitchen/bath products, including materials, appliances, fixtures, and accessories. Present design concepts, incorporate client feedback, and revise plans accordingly. Prepare accurate and descriptive project estimates, including pricing, materials, and installation costs. Collaborate with the Kitchen/Bath team and other Goodro departments to build a robust sales pipeline and deliver seamless project execution. Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, new materials, and supplier/product catalog dynamics. Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive, empathetic communication; resolve any concerns or issues throughout the design and installation process. Qualifications Experience in interior design, architecture, or kitchen sales and design—preferably in a retail or showroom setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, teammates, and suppliers. Proficiency in interior design software such as AutoCAD or 2020 Design. Knowledge of kitchen materials, cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, and accessories. Demonstrated customer‑service mindset with a focus on client satisfaction. Detail‑oriented with exceptional organizational and time‑management skills. Will­ingness to travel to off‑site customer locations for measurements and site assessments. Creative mindset and passion for staying updated on design trends and innovations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. A degree or certification in interior design, architecture, or a related field is a plus. Work Schedule & Location Full‑time position, Monday‑Friday or Tuesday‑Saturday shift options. Primarily in‑person location: Middlebury, VT 05753. Flexible scheduling may be available by agreement with Goodro. Employee Benefits Health insurance. Retirement savings plan with 3% employer match.
