Job Description: Data Solutions Architect

We are supporting a leading consultancy partner in the search for an experienced Data Solutions Architect to lead large-scale data transformation and cloud modernization initiatives across enterprise environments. This role will involve designing and delivering cutting-edge data platforms, guiding strategy, and ensuring best-in-class architecture practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex data modernization efforts, including migrations from legacy systems to modern platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Design and implement scalable data architectures encompassing data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, and OLAP solutions.
• Apply advanced data modeling techniques including medallion architecture, Data Vault, and star schema.
• Build high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines, enabling both batch and real-time data processing, with tool-agnostic orchestration frameworks.
• Define and implement data governance, data quality, lineage, and integration frameworks aligned with enterprise-wide standards.
• Architect solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem, leveraging tools such as Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Purview, and Fabric (OneLake).
• Conduct platform assessments to identify architectural gaps and define actionable roadmaps for modernization.
• Apply best practices from architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, maturity models like SEI CMM, and IT service standards like ITIL.
• Support managed service environments by designing 24/7 operational models, monitoring solutions, and support strategies.
• Develop and maintain reusable architecture assets, accelerators, templates, and reference models to streamline project delivery.
• Collaborate with business development teams on pre-sales solutioning, RFP responses, and client workshops—presenting effectively to both technical and executive audiences.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, clearly communicating trade-offs, platform choices, and cost implications.
